I didn’t receive a new card. What should I do?

If you have not received your new card, please call us immediately at 1-844-622-2282 and let us know that you did not receive a new BBVA Compass American Express Card. We will issue you a new card via mail as soon as your request is made.

How do I qualify for this offer?

This offer is only available to specially designated BBVA Compass American Express Card accounts, and is not transferable to other accounts or accountholders. If you received an Online Banking or Mobile Banking banner that directed you to this page, you are eligible for this promotion.  

To qualify for the 1,000 TripleDouble Points, you must have net Qualifying Purchases totaling $10 or more using your BBVA Compass American Express Card post to your account between 11/01/17 and 11/30/17. This offer is limited to one 1,000 points credit per account.  

 

What is a Qualifying Purchase?

A Qualifying Purchase is any purchase, Internet purchase, phone or mail order purchase, bill payment, contactless purchase (purchase made by holding your BBVA Compass American Express Card or another device up to a secure reader instead of swiping your card), or small-dollar purchase for which you are not required to sign, made with your BBVA Compass American Express Card, that is processed or submitted through the American Express payment system.  

BBVA Compass reserves the right to, in its sole discretion, determine whether a particular transaction is a Qualifying Purchase.

 

What is NOT a Qualifying Purchase?

Qualifying Purchases, for the purposes of this offer, do not include payments of existing card balances, balance transfers, cash advances, ATM transactions, convenience checks, Interlink processed transactions, fees charged by us (for example, finance charges and related service charges, if any apply), payments made for prepaid and reloadable cards such as certain gift cards, and payments made for payment instruments that can readily be converted to cash (for example, traveler's checks, money orders, wire transfers, and similar products or services).

Qualifying Purchases also do not include a purchase made using a Personal Identification Number (PIN) or purchase you initiate through identification technology that substitutes for a PIN.

When will the 1,000 points post to my account?

After you have made at least $10 in Qualifying Purchases with your new BBVA Compass American Express Card, it may take up to 10 weeks for bonus points to be awarded. Your account must be open and in good standing at the time the rewards account credit is issued to receive the rewards account credit.

 

When can I redeem my points through BBVA Wallet?

You can redeem preexisting TripleDouble Points through a BBVA Wallet transaction alert within the first 24 hours of receiving the transaction alert. After the 24 hour period has passed, you must either go to the TripleDouble Points website or call 1-866-246-2924 to redeem points. 

Alerts for card transactions and reward redemption are subject to service availability to your mobile device and cannot be guaranteed by BBVA Compass. Alerts are subject to merchant billing practices and may not be received until your card is charged for the purchase price. You must have reward points available in your account to be able to redeem.
