Android Pay is now called Google Pay. You’ll now see the Google Pay logo when you use or buy Google products, like Google Photos or digital content on Google Play.

You can also use Google Pay to keep your gift and loyalty cards on hand when you shop at your favorite stores.
Google Pay does all the same things Android Pay did. Plus, you’ll enjoy some shiny new additions to the app design and features, as well as support for new partners over the coming months.
If you’re already using Android Pay, you don’t need to do anything to get started with Google Pay.

No. Any credit, debit, gift, or loyalty cards you added to Android Pay will automatically show up in Google Pay. If you used a payment method to buy a Google product or service (like an app or movie on Google Play or storage space for Google Drive), you’ll still be able to access it through the Google payment center.

Yes. Google Pay works everywhere Android Pay worked (wherever near field communication, i.e., NFC, payments are accepted in stores). You can also look for Google Pay at checkout in more of your favorite apps and sites.
Google Pay can be used to make in-store payments via NFC in the following countries / regions; Google Pay is expanding this feature to new places all the time so stay tuned for future announcements.

You won’t be able to use your iPhone to pay in stores with Google Pay, unless you are making the payment with an Android Wear smartwatch that is paired to an iPhone. More information is available here.

No. Your card number is not stored on your phone. Your phone is provided a unique token account number specific to your device and that token is passed to the merchant instead of your card number, which provides you with a more secure purchase experience.
Yes. There may be slight variations in the image you see from what your physical card looks like. Keep in mind, the image you see is just a representation of your card and will not impact your purchase ability.
No. Any purchases you make will process the same way as they currently do. You can make purchases and returns without any issues in the transaction posting to your account properly.

First, if you have Find My Android Device Manager enabled, you can follow the instructions in Android Device Manager to erase your phone.
If you do not and you wish to disable your token account number, you can call BBVA Compass at 1-844-533-8041 and we will be happy to assist in disabling the ability to use Google Pay on your lost or stolen device.
No. Since the physical account number is not stored on the device, you do not have to change your account number. However, you will need to disable the token account number assigned by Android to avoid anyone using your Google Pay functionality on that device.
