What is the BBVA Compass Locations App?

The BBVA Compass Locations app can locate the nearest ATMs or branches in the BBVA Compass network at any time and in any place.  Navigation is easy.  The “Use my current location” button will automatically find any nearby ATMs and branches.  Or you can enter a street address or locations to locate ATMs and branches in that area.  The app provide directions to the ATMs and branches and shows their distance from your current location.

What are the device requirements for using the BBVA Compass Locations App?


  • iPhone™ 3G or iPhone™ with OS 2.0 or higher
  • iPod touch®
  • Android™
All devices must have internet connectivity.

Is there a fee for using the BBVA Compass Locations App?

BBVA Compass does not charge for using the Locations app.  However, standard internet service fees from your wireless carrier may apply.  Check with you carrier for internet service rates and plans for your device.

How do I download the BBVA Compass Locations App?

iPhone™ and iPod touch® users can download the BBVA Compass Locations app from iTunes® or the App Storesm

Android™ users can download the BBVA Compass Locations app from the Android Market™. 

Why can't I use the automatic location feature?

You must activate the function location to use the automatic geo-location to find your current position for map directions. 

iPhone™ – Look in General setting under Location Services

Android™ - Make sure “Use wireless networks:” and “Use GPS satellites” are checked.  Find these on your Menu under Location and Security Settings.  You can always click them off and manually type in the location (address, city and state).

You will be asked for permission to use your current location each time you install the Locations app on your device.  If you do not say OK the geo-location feature will not work.  Exit the app and open it again to view the permission message again.

You may have poor cell coverage or be located too far from the closest cell tower.

There could be interference in your current location such as a large building, high altitude, or, metal structures.  You should be able to manually type in your location and use the BBVA Compass Locations app.

iPhone™ and Android™ users
Contact the customer support number directly from the “?” icon on the “Find location’ screen.

iPhone users will find the “?” in the corner. 
Android users, click the menu button, then the “?” icon. 

iPod touch® users

Can I use the BBVA Compass Locations App without being enrolled for Mobile Banking?

Yes.  Mobile Banking enrollment is not required.  As long as you have an iPhone™, iPod touch® or Android™ device, you can download and use the BBVA Compass Locations app.
