Getting Started

After viewing the Deposits tab you will be shown your current deposit limits per check and per any 30 consecutive calendar days.

Mobile Terms of Use

BBVA Compass recently launched the Mobile Deposit® service. At this time, the service is available only to a limited number of Mobile Banking customers. As we continue to evaluate accounts and expand the number of Mobile Deposit users, your account may become eligible for this service.

You will need to endorse your check as provided in the Mobile Deposit® terms and conditions. Remember to take a picture of the front of the check as well as the back of the check. Your funds will generally be made available in 3 business days from the date of deposit.

Select Deposit a Check function to start the process.

Take a picture of the front of the check.

Remember to place your check on a clean dark background. Also flatten the check if it is wrinkled and remember to hold the camera horizontally flat, in focus in a well lit area.

Make sure everything is completely filled out, and the image is clear easy to read.

You can choose to:

  • Use – Keep the image and continue the process
  • Retake – If you have a blurry image you can retake it to get a clear image
  • Cancel – Choose if you changed your mind and do not wish to continue the process

Take a picture of the back of the check.

Remember to place your check on a clean dark background. Also flatten the check if it is wrinkled and remember to hold the camera horizontally flat, in focus in a well lit area.

Before taking the picture, remember to endorse the back of your check with your signature and by writing "For deposit only, BBVA Compass account # ___________".

You can choose to:

  • Use – Keep the image and continue the process
  • Retake – If you have a blurry image you can retake it to get a clear image
  • Cancel – Choose if you changed your mind and do not wish to continue the process

Make sure to enter the correct dollar amount from the check and choose the account in which you want to deposit the funds

You can choose to:

  • Done – After you have entered the correct dollar amount from the check
  • Make Deposit – Confirm the dollar amount and account for deposit to continue
  • Cancel – Choose if you changed your mind and do not wish to continue the process

Make sure the correct dollar amount is entered from the check and the correct account is indicated for depositing the funds

You can choose to:

  • Yes – Confirm the dollar amount and account for deposit to continue.
  • No – Choose if you changed your mind and do not wish to continue the process or if the dollar amount or account is incorrect.

| Restart the Demo

A confirmation message will be displayed after the check is pending processing for deposit. You can view the "Recent deposits" history to see deposits posted into your account.
