What is BBVA Compass Bonus FreeMonee?

This is a new program offered by BBVA Compass Bonus in conjunction with FreeMonee Network, Inc. ("FreeMonee") that rewards you with offers to use at popular stores and restaurants based on your spending habits. Offers may include coupons, discounts, rebates, or other promotional offers. These offers are matched to you based on your spending history with your BBVA Compass credit or check card. To take advantage of your offer, just activate your offer and use the BBVA Compass check card or credit card associated with your offer to make a qualifyting purchase at the store or restaurant specified in the offer during the active offer dates.

Is there a fee to participate in BBVA Compass Bonus FreeMonee?

While there is no fee to participate in BBVA Compass Bonus FreeMonee, you will need to make a purchase in order to be eligible to receive any credits.

When using my eligible BBVA Compass Check Card, do I use my PIN or sign for the purchase to redeem the offer?

Either method can be used to make a qualifying purchase and redeem your offer.

How do I redeem my BBVA Compass Bonus FreeMonee offer?

Once notified by email of your FreeMonee offer at a participating merchant, activate your offer and make your purchase there as you always would prior to the offer expiration date. To qualify for the credit, the purchase must meet the terms of the offer and be made using the BBVA Compass card associated with your offer during the active offer dates. The person handling your purchase will not know that you are redeeming an offer, so the offer will not appear on your receipt. You will pay the full purchase price at the time of sale.

How long does it take for my offer to be credited back to my card?

The offer amount redeemed will be credited directly to your credit card or checking account generally within two (2) weeks after making your qualifying purchase, but it may take up to two (2) billing or statement periods to post to your account.

How will I know if I have a BBVA Compass Bonus FreeMonee offer?

You will receive notice of your FreeMonee offer via email. We may expand the ways we deliver FreeMonee offers in the future.

How often will I receive BBVA Compass Bonus FreeMonee offer?

There's no set schedule for receiving FreeMonee offers. However, our goal is to provide a new offer to eligible customers every one to three weeks.

How will I know if my BBVA Compass Bonus FreeMonee offer has been applied?

The offer credit earned will be applied directly to your credit card or checking account generally within two weeks of making your qualifying purchase. The credit will appear in your transaction detail in Online Banking and be described as a "BBVA Compass Bonus" in your monthly statement. You’ll also get an email notification confirming that the credit will be posted.

Will the credit be applied at the store when I make my purchase?

The offer amount redeemed will be applied electronically as an account credit to your credit card or checking account within two weeks after the qualifying purchase takes place, but it may take up to two (2) billing or statement periods to post to your account. The salesperson won't know that you've redeemed a FreeMonee offer, and the offer credit won’t show up on your receipt. You will pay the full purchase price at the time of sale.

What happens if I don’t use the full amount of a FreeMonee Gift?

You don't need to use the entire gift amount in a single purchase. If your purchase amount is below the gift amount, you'll get a gift credit for the amount of the purchase. You can then use the balance of the gift on a subsequent purchase, as long as it's made before the gift expiration date. Gift credits will never total more than the original gift amount.

Can I spend more than the amount of my FreeMonee Gift?

Yes. There are no restrictions on how much you can spend at the designated store or restaurant. We'll credit you up to the gift amount, provided the transaction takes place before the expiration date of the gift. Simply use your card the way you normally would to make purchases at the specified store or restaurant.

Can I redeem my BBVA Compass Bonus FreeMonee offer after the expiration date?

No. Offers cannot be redeemed after the expiration date specified in the email. If you make a purchase after the expiration date, no offer credit will be applied to your account.

Can I use my FreeMonee Gift at any store or restaurant I choose?

No. The gift only applies to the store or restaurant specified in the FreeMonee Gift offer, and purchases must be made before the expiration date to qualify. You cannot apply gifts to other stores or restaurants outside of those specified in a FreeMonee Gift offer.

What should I do if I decide I no longer want to receive BBVA Compass Bonus FreeMonee offers?

If you don't wish to receive BBVA Compass Bonus FreeMonee offers, click the "unsubscribe" link provided at the bottom of any BBVA Compass Bonus FreeMonee email. You will be taken to a webpage where you can opt-out of receiving future BBVA Compass Bonus FreeMonee emails.

Do I get to choose from which stores and restaurants I receive BBVA Compass Bonus FreeMonee offers?

No. While you don't have the ability to select specific merchants, we strive to provide relevant and interesting offers to you from a variety of stores and restaurants.

Can I pass the BBVA Compass Bonus FreeMonee offer to friends?

No. The offers are individualized and linked to your specific account, so they cannot be used by others.

No. BBVA Compass doesn't share your identity or non-public personal information with FreeMonee or any participating stores or restaurants.

As a BBVA Compass check card or credit card holder, you have been selected to receive a BBVA Compass Bonus FreeMonee offer. To redeem your offer, first activate your offer and then make a qualifying purchase at the merchant during the specified time frame using your BBVA Compass check card or credit card specified in the offer email and you will receive a credit up to the amount of your offer.

How do I know if I received my FreeMonee credit?
